(School Work)
I read about the advancements in transgender surgery. Scientists have found a way to instead of putting the patient on a anti-rejectent drug they can transplant bone marrow from a donor to the patient before an organ transplant. This prevents the body from rejecting the surgery and potently hurting the host. This study can improve the success rate of transgender surgeries by a ton. Scientists have tested this procedure on kidney transplant surgeries, then the success rate is 100%. I don't know for sure if this study is in practice yet, but I would think that it is out of the development stage. This study is very advance, so it would most likely be in the medical field already. If this study is already in the field then I can't wait to see the improvement that it will bring.
